Change default link colors in Vector
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Proposal

  • In order to improve the reading experience in Vector we update the primary link color to Accent50 #36c. See explanation in parent task.
  • In order to improve the reading experience in Vector we update the visited link color to #6b4ba1. See explanation in parent task.

Developer notes

The link colors are actually defined in core (resources/src/mediawiki.skinning/elements.css)
Given we don't want to change this in places like Monobook we will need to override this with a new rule in Vector inside.

Why not change it in monobook? If it's an accessibility problem, that seems relevant to both.

One at a time! This is something that takes a lot of political will to happen for each skin.

But... why? If they're both currently the same, wouldn't people expect them to both change?

@Isarra I don't think anybody would expect these two skins to look and behave the same.
