Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Hi, Currently, we use a third party keyboard when editing on Sindhi Wikipedia, I use a third party Sindhi Keyboards when I am editing Sindhi Wikipedia through Laptop or desktop
i.e I use these keyboards and type here in Sindhi text and copy the text and then paste it on Sindhi Wikipedia while editing that text typed in these third party Sindhi keyboards

Wikitext Editor needs improvement for Sindhi Wikipedia, enable Presho-Arabic Sindhi Script Keyboard and Devanagari Sindhi Keyboard on Sindhi Wikipedia.

Example: Take an example of Urdu Wikipedia where when a user edits they don't go to a third party websites keyboard, they can write text in Wikitext editor/Visual Editor available on Wikipedia. Hope you understand the problem we facing on Sindhi Wikipedia, especially new users face so much hardship which also affects Sindhi Wikipedia and new users are unaware of third-party keyboards so no huge editing is done by new users. I would explain more by sending screenshots or by other means if you haven't understood the problem. Thanks

Hi!

Sorry I missed this earlier!

As far as I can see, a Devanagari Sindhi keyboard is available on the Sindhi Wikipedia, but only in the InScript version and not in any transliteration version, as there are on Hindi, Marathi, and some others.

We do not provide an Arabic-alphabet keyboard for Sindhi at the moment. It's possible to make it, I'll try to make one some time soon.

As a general question, which alphabet do you actually use on the Sindhi Wikipedia? I see that the main page is all in the Arabic alphabet. Do you use Devanagari anywhere?

We use mix of Arabic and Persian letters including some localized letters like ″ڳ″, ″ڱ″, ″ڦ″, etc. Google provides keyboard for Android{F34139298} shown in screenshot, some letters are available on long press, while range of diacritics are available on long press on ″full stop″.
