As an administrator who occasionally places temporary protections, I would like to be reminded whether a protection I have placed is about to expire so I can check whether abuse is likely to continue and decide whether to renew the protection. The proposed implementation is another checkbox in the page protection form (default: unchecked) that queues up the notification for the appropriate time.
