Stretch grid problem: No entries in Grid status
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

While migrating (my tool) to the Stretch job grid I ran into this problem:

No grid jobs from Stretch are shown in Grid status webpage, but qstat shows jobs running

  1. Run a grid job from Stretch
  2. Open tools.wmflabs.org
  3. Click to Grid status link (https://tools.wmflabs.org/admin/oge/status)
  4. Search for your job
  5. It isn't there!

Apparently, it doesn't have any idea about the new grid. or even that it exists...

This is sort of documented at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/News/Toolforge_Trusty_deprecation#Monitoring_tools

See https://tools.wmflabs.org/sge-status/ for the Stretch grid equivalent of https://tools.wmflabs.org/admin/oge/status. There is a link for this in the "see also" menu on the admin tool.

bd808 claimed this task.

I made the labels in the admin tool a bit more explicit to help people find the grid status page they want.
