Description

The following error is experienced when attempting to edit https://en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Special:CreateAccount&returnto=Special:CreateAccount&returntoquery=warning%3Dmobile-frontend-generic-login-new&campaign=loginCTA

First noticed at 06:59 (UTC)

Error:
Account creation error
Database locked The Wikipedia database is temporarily in read-only mode for the following reason:
The database has been automatically locked while the replica database servers catch up to the master.
This is probably due to routine maintenance; if so, you will be able to edit again within a few minutes. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused. After doing some poking, looks like the master db (deployment-db03) might be down.

Arguably, the read only error message for this situation could probably be improved.
