Feed cards
👉 Create feed card for editor tasks and update iconography | T217373 on Zeplin
There are two types of editor task feed cards in V1:
- “Add description“ feed cards, shown once “Add descriptions“ task has been unlocked
- “Translate description“ feed cards, shown once “Translate descriptions“ task been unlocked
- Details about unlocking can be found in this task: T217369
Conceptual details:
- Explore feed card logic:
- Editor tasks has not been unlocked yet: No “Editor tasks“ feed cards are shown.
- Add descriptions has been unlocked (3 non-reverted edits): Daily suggestions for “Add descriptions“ are shown in the feed.
- Add and translate descriptions have been unlocked (50 non-reverted edits): Alternating daily suggestions for “Add descriptions“ and “Translate descriptions“ are shown in the feed. There’s always only one “Editor tasks“ card shown for a particular day.
- Tapping one of these cards leads users directly to the Add description or Translate description flow respectively
- When users are accessing editor tasks features for the first time, the onboarding dialog is shown. After tapping “Get started“, users are taken to the card they’ve tapped on in the explore feed in Add/translate descriptions.
- Customize the feed: Add option for “Editor tasks“ once it’s unlocked (see Zeplin)
- Display the article’s extract when there’s no article image is available in the “Suggested edits“ feed card.
Iconography
To emphasize the new terminology (“Editor tasks“ instead of “App editor tasks“), the icon for the feature has been updated to represent these changes. In order to make this change happen the “Customize the feed“ iconography has been changed to a tune icon. Please check out the Zeplin screen to view the changes.
