Update several hosts status in Netbox
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

While having a chat with Arzhel for the upcoming network maintenance on row A we realised that the following hosts don't have their status updated on Netbox

Hosts showing up as Planned but should be Active as they are either in production or as Spare (pending to be productionized):

db1116
pc1007
dbproxy1012
dbproxy1013
dbproxy1014
dbproxy1015
bproxy1016
dbproxy1017
dbstore1004

Hosts showing up as Staged but should be Active as they are either in production or as Spare (pending to be productionized):

dbstore1003
dbstore1005
labsdb1012

I didn't want to update them myself as I don't really know what's the procedure for it and I didn't want to mess it up :-)

@Marostegui the different states and their transitions (when they are supposed to be updated) are described here:

Feel free to update them accordingly.
In addition to that there are plans for:

  • we have T212526 that add some automatic cross-check between puppetdb and netbox to ensure we don't loose any
  • integration with the reimage script to update it during provisioning / reimaging

https://netbox.wikimedia.org/dcim/devices/396/ an-master1001 is also status "planned" but an active master server.
