Julia is working with the search team and primarily writing spark tasks. She is able to login to hue.wikimedia.org, but for some reason cannot seem to login to yarn and see the spark application master for a running application.
Working username on hue: juliaglen
Not working usernames on yarn: juliaglen, julia.glen
Some suspicion this may be related to the dot in the name, but not in any way certain.
Julia is not in the nda LDAP group, I'll follow up with @MoritzMuehlenhoff tomorrow (EU time) and I'll add the username in there! In Hue we manually sync the users that we allow (so only the LDAP user is needed, not any specific groups) meanwhile for Yarn we use httpd ldap authentication (requiring the username to be in either nda or wmf).
Note that the LDAP cn, checked by httpd, is Julia.glen, so that one will probably need to be used.
I confirm that she has an NDA in place, so I've added uid=julianglen to the nda group in LDAP.
