openzim gerrit repo should be archived
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Reason

Official repo has been moved from Wikimedia to Github a year ago. Here it is now:
https://github.com/openzim/libzim/

But the Wikimedia repo is not tagged as [archived]:
https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/admin/projects/openzim

Could you please to so to bring a bit more of clarity?

Upstream ticket:
https://github.com/openzim/libzim/issues/202

To-do list

  • Phabricator
    • Archive Phabricator projects -- they are all inactive apparently
    • Mark all Phabricator tasks for the project either Declined or Invalid.
    • Edit Phabricator project <#ProjectX> description for the extension/skin with a link to this ticket.
  • Repositories

Event Timeline

I have adjusted the description by copy pasting from Projects-Cleanup > Fill an archive request. That leads to a form that comes with a bunch of todo items :]

@hashar How much of that is needed just to archive this single Gerrit repo, though? It would be helpful if you could take a bit of time to go through the checklist and customize it for this specific task (especially removing irrelevant items), or tag in someone else who can.

Should we look at creating a new cleanup checklist specifically for this type of work? The current checklist is (by design) highly specific to archiving extensions and skins.

Change 498806 had a related patch set uploaded (by Hashar; owner: Hashar):
[openzim@master] OpenZim is now on Github

I've re-enabled https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/source/openzim/ so when we archive it on Gerrit the changes get also mirrored there, and we can archive it properly afterwards.

Sorry I have just copy pasted the template. I have cleaned it up.

Looks like Phabricator projects and diffusion repository have been deactivated. So the only thing lefts to do are:

And then we can archive it in Gerrit and I guess we can just delete the Diffusion repository.

hashar assigned this task to MarcoAurelio.
hashar updated the task description. (Show Details)

Cleaned up with the nice help of @MarcoAurelio

Diffusion repository re-deactivated now that's synced.
