We are announcing the work we are doing on wb_terms on 24th April on the relevant channels. Tool builders will be specifically invited to read through and follow up on the details regarding the new schema, how to use and how to deal with the migration period.

What needs to be done

• provide detailed explanation of the migration plan and how tool builders should do to continue having access to full data during it
• provide some sample common-case queries, showing how they were done in old wb_terms and how they would be done in new schema
• create a task/sub-project/workboard were tool builders can create issues or questions for their use cases for us to provide some advise or help when needed
• explain in detail how tool builders can test their work in the test env. we prepare by 15th of May (esp. the dates in which we will mimic migration plan)

Some dates to keep in mind:

• test should be ready with the changes for testing by 15th May
• migration begins in production on 29th May (at least the breaking change parts, like switching to read new for property terms and read/write one on item terms)
• on May 15th and 22nd we will attend Technical Advice IRC Meeting (TAIM) sessions to receive questions from tool builders (you may subscribe to host it here .. default is @alaa_wmde)
