Dana will share the data from the satisfaction survey tomorrow, Tuesday May 21st.
CC'ing @hdothiduc for support with video.

Hi, do you have more details about the video you want to create?
If the launch date for this video is June 3, I think realistically I can only help out for a few hours next week (I am off May 27, Monday). It would depend on the kind of video to know if that is enough. Looking forward to hear more!

Thank you for that link! There is a lot of information.
Do you (@mcruzWMF?) have more specifics about the video and what to include? Again, I am not so sure if we can meet the deadline.

Hi @hdothiduc the goal of this communications plan is to get more people interested in the ToT curriculum. When I thought of creating a video, I was thinking of a narrative where we:

  • describe what the program is (bullet 2, slide 2)
  • share when it happened before (bullet 1, slide 2)
  • say how satisfied people were ( pages 3 and 4)
  • finish with what we hope to achieve (If you are going to Wikimania, sign up to join ToT in Stockholm, which will take place on August 15, 2019)

In terms of the format, I thought this could be a slideshow, maybe. What are your thoughts? How would you like to visually communicate this?

Hey @mcruzWMF I see, so your goal is really to have people sign up for the ToT n Stockholm.

I think this is quite tricky! Finding a visual representation for movement organizer --> skilled trainer should be ok, but then the rest of the information is quite hard to communicate visually (without going into time intensive illustration work).

To me it seems "share when it happened before" and "say how satisfied people were" are more side infos that only really help if the audience is already interested in the topic.
With leaving that out, the message is then essentially

From movement organizer to skilled trainer [incl. icon/vector based representation]
If you want to do x, this program is for you!
You're in Stockholm August 15? Sign up for Pre-Conference ticket.

I believe creating one graphic is a better way to go (also in the interest of time).
If x is multiple bullet points then I would say we could animate that part, i.e. fade text in and out.

What do you think?

María and I just worked out this text for a graphic.

From movement organizer to skilled trainer
If you want to learn how to share your skills
(in your own style!)
to empower new people to join the Wikimedia movement,
come to the Learning Days at Wikimania.

Are you in Stockholm August 14-15?
Sign up for the Pre-Conference ticket.

Will work on this next week, and keep you updated, so you can give feedback.

Hey there, I made two drafts:

I would recommend to add the following info with links to the social media posts where you publish this (that's why I didn't include it in the graphic.

Learning Days are on August 14–15 in Stockholm ?

I am thinking right now that the "people" icons could be more fun, maybe even use emojis for those?
But just wanted to get your first reactions and feedback! Let me know!

Hi @hdothiduc !
Thanks for working on these. Yes, I think more fun is needed in these flyers ;-)

I think I like the first option, with the color block at the top, better. But I'm not sure the text works well centered... it feels a bit plain right now. Maybe we can add more texture in the background? Something that conveys that these two days are also fun?

Thanks for the feedback! How about this?

TrainingOfTrainersWikimania3.png (800×800 px, 40 KB)

I shortened the text slightly. I think this last one is my favorite.

Is your timeline still to launch tomorrow? Unfortunately, I am busy until tomorrow with an urgent task.
I could make minor changes, though if you need me to.

This is so much better! You really nailed the fun part :-)

I'm modifying the timeline slightly, as we are behind on other pieces (like the page on wikimania wiki). Thanks for this! I'll send to Simona and Dana.

We have signoff on the blog draft. I submitted to comms today.
We are aiming at publishing the page on wikimania wiki by the end of this week.

Comms gave some feedback and suggestions on the blog, and I worked to polish this piece more.
The team sent me the doc with the content for the page on Wikimania wiki, which I have created today. Still waiting to hear from the team on some clarification with regard to the deadline to register.

@DMccurdy , Wikimania is over, and I'm assuming you don't need anything else on this front, or is there anything else you'd need from us here?

@Elitre Yes, all done. we can close this! Thank you!
