Absence of wiki code elements causes comparison to disappear from Translate extension
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

When using Translate Extension (my encounter is with Meta, but this might apply to all) to update a segment that is outdated, a difference display shows where the user be able to see what(1) the difference between outdated text and current text. If the user tries to edit the translation where there are wiki code elements - like brackets and parenthesis(2) - and an element is missing, an error message occurs that flags the missing element. If the missing element is restored, the difference between outdated and updated source text is no longer viewable(3). It would be convenient to have the difference between outdated and updated source text to be viewable regardless of error messages flagging missing wiki code elements.
