IBM segment data in Civi?
Closed, DuplicatePublic0 Estimated Story Points

Description

The email team is working on developing more coherent data architecture around the segments we cut to send emails. We want to do a better job of tracking specific content and behavior-based segments so we can refer back to them over time and try to track longitudinal trends.

One way we could do this better would be by pulling down the segment data from IBM (so we could see which specific list they were in when they received a given email, including the Segment field value). I don't believe this is happening already, but our trilogy consultant said she thought she saw a job that was pulling data from the segment field. I checked the civicrm_mailing_provider_data table and definitely don't see where the segment data would live.

For now, I just want to answer two questions:

  1. Should I check in any other tables when trying to see what IBM data we hold on our servers?
  2. Is it relatively easy to add more fields into that data job? We have a workaround if we can't find this data in Civi, but it would save us time to have it there.

Let me know if I should just pull these questions into an email instead! Wasn't sure if this was more appropriate for email or phab.
