Possible change in recentchanges behaviour. No entries for >= 30 days ago
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Hello,

by using a bot, I noticed that recentchanges API might have changed behaviour around May 31.

If I try the following 2 queries:
https://ca.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=recentchanges&rcprop=comment%7Ctitle%7Cuser%7Ctimestamp&rclimit=500&rcdir=newer&rcnamespace=0&format=json&rcstart=2019-05-01%2001:01:00
vs
https://ca.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=recentchanges&rcprop=comment|title|user|timestamp&rclimit=500&rcdir=newer&rcnamespace=0&format=json&rcstart=2019-05-08%2001:01:00

The first one starts at another moment in May 6 instead of what it was expected. If this behaviour is intentional, is there any other workaround to retrieve these recentchanges data?

Thanks!

This is expected. We only keep 30 days RC on Wikimedia wikis. They're deleted after 2592000 seconds :)
