Marostegui moved this task from Triage to Blocked external/Not db team on the DBA board.

Is it ok to hold this a bit? See T224916#5232442 for context

This doesn't really need a DBA there is no lag replication lag showing up since we replaced all the old hardware

Thanks! Are there any cleanup changes I need to perform after this? I noticed for example that my watchlist RSS feeds became invalidated, and I needed to manually resubscribe to them by manually changing the subscription URL from

.../w/api.php?action=feedwatchlist&allrev=allrev&wlowner=Waldir&wltoken=<redacted>&feedformat=rss

to

.../w/api.php?action=feedwatchlist&allrev=allrev&wlowner=Waldyrious&wltoken=<redacted>&feedformat=rss

Are there similar caveats I should keep in mind?

Also, is there any similar process for renaming my related account(s) on Wikitech, Gerrit, Toolforge, etc.?

I don't mean to add on more work to this task, btw. I'm happy to open new requests in the appropriate places, I just need to know where :)

For example, I've already requested my Translatewiki.net user to be changed.

@waldyrious You need to file another task for that. See T171417 for an example.

I am not a developer, but to me T225370#5298483 would seem like an intended thing. You may want to document that on the rename user documentation.

Wikitech, Gerrit, Toolforge are managed by LDAP and you should request an LDAP change (LDAP-Access-Requests) on a separate ticket. Phabricator needs separate handling, as it is linked to LDAP but it is handled separately.

I'd be happy to. Are you talking about instructions for requesters or performers of the renaming? What would be the canonical place to add this information?

By the way, my account on the OTRS wiki (and on OTRS itself) was renamed separately from the other Wikimedia wikis, by @Krd (thanks!), although I didn't request this myself. Is that something that is already documented about the process, or happens semi-automatically? Or should a note be added about it in the documentation, for completeness?

Thanks, will do. And thanks @1997kB for the link, it's very helpful :) I'll create a new ticket based on that.

My Phabricator account is already "waldyrious", so there's no rename needed. Or did you mean I should open a separate request to re-sync it with wikitech et al after the rename?
