Non-existing links inserted by users are marked as active

Description

Follow up for T197787

  1. Log in to cx2-testing and go to Special:ContentTranslation page
  2. Start a translation with "Copy original content" option fo any article and for any lang pair. For example, en:HC Dukla Prague ->cs (Czech).
  3. Select (highlight) some generic word(s) that unlikely to be present in a target wiki as an article, and click to insert a link.

In the screenshot, the word "awarded" was selected as a link that has to be inserted.

Couple of issues:

  • a non-exisiting link "awarded" is displayed as a valid link. This is not a case in VE:

  • only clicking on Edit for the inserted link shows that the link is red
  • there is no a clear indication to a user that the link does not exist (unlike VE warning)
