Document the MediaInfo JSON output on mediawiki.org
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Created this ticket as a result of T149410#5294644

The docs should live on mediawiki.org.
The bellow example docs could be used to see how this should look.

See:

I guess the datamodel should currently be defined as unstable / beta in docs?

There is already documentation of the data type itself: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikibaseMediaInfo/Data_Model

I have added a draft of the jSON description at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikibaseMediaInfo/Data_Model/JSON borrowing heavily from https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase/DataModel/JSON

Please feel free to make it correct (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cunningham%27s_Law).

Once you have something you like, I suppose it should be added directly to the extension repo, as holds true for the Wikibase JSON documentation.

I guess the WMF SD team should take a look at this.

Hi @ArielGlenn – we were talking about this recently within the team, and we agree that the docs should be expanded and improved. Thanks for putting a draft together.

We are trying to finish a few other things in advance of some deadlines this week – once that work is behind us I'll take a look and add/edit if necessary.
