There is a template that adds links to previous and next year on WMSE wiki (see e.g. Projekt:Wikipedia_i_utbildning_2018). This could also be useful on other wikis, such as SVWP and Commons. It uses a module that with some simple logic looks for the years to link.

@Sebastian_Berlin-WMSE Any progress with this, or should I ask @Alicia_Fagerving_WMSE ?
I haven't done anything with it, but I think I could quite easily copy it. For SVWP we probably want to document the module a bit and for Commons template and module needs to be translated. Was there anything in particular that this should be used for?
It would be helpful for both articles and project pages like https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Projekt_musik/Melodifestivalen_2020 and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2020_in_Sweden.
I copied over the module and the template to SVWP and added it to the top of Wikipedia:Projekt musik/Melodifestivalen 2019, ...2020 and ...2022. There isn't a page for 2021 so that was a good opportunity to show the overwrite parameters.
Imported to Commons and translated documentation. Added to Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Sweden, ...2020... and ...2021... Seems to work fine.
With that I think this is done. @AxelPettersson_WMSE, do you want to play around with the templates and see if they work as intended?
Thanks! Works great. Info added to https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Bybrunnen#Bl%C3%A4ddra.
