<inputbox> with inline=true only works inside a table cell
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Extension:Inputbox has a inline=true parameter that causes the inputbox to be rendered inline.

This means, the following code:

[Text before inputbox] <inputbox>
type=search2
inline=true
width=10
</inputbox> [Text after inputbox]

Should render

[Text before inputbox] [INPUTBOX] [BUTTONS] [Text after inputbox]

However, this seems to work only inside table cells.

If this example is put outside of a table, it renders this instead:

[Text before inputbox]
[INPUTBOX] [BUTTONS]
[Text after inputbox]

This behavior can be seen here: https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=User:Ciencia_Al_Poder/Test&oldid=3305984

I've filed this in the inputbox extension, however this could be some sort of HTML sanitization performed by MediaWiki (parser?), and not a bug with this extension...
