The references that make sense to include in the translation are only those that are present in the translation document. However at the moment the list of references is added to the translation, all of them (even if they are only present in the source but not the translation) are added.
Only after adding a new paragraph with references to the translation, the list of references is updated in the translation (to include only the references present in the translation). This results in confusion when references disappear from the list after a paragraph is added to the translation.
In the example illustrated below:
- when we first translate the references section, it shows 17 references.
- after we translate a different section of the document, references start disappearing
