Module:Documentation upgrade
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

There is a problem with tables which occurs while using template {{Documentation}} with parameter |content= (also known as inline documentation). Documentation breaks when it reaches {|. Therefore it’s impossible to create a proper inline documentation for template.

Can someone please improve Module:Documentation to solve the problem and/or create a subtemplate responsible for inline documentation using the existing module, so that a fully-fledged, well-functioning documentation within an article can be made without creating a documentation subpage? It may not be too relevant for the English Wikipedia, as almost every template/module has its documentation, but some smaller Wikis tend to use inline documentation more often.

In Russian Wiki, there is such template, but a different documentation style is used, so it isn’t possible to copy/paste it. Here is the link to that template: [[:ruwiki:Шаблон:Doc-inline]].

Thank you for your help! I’m really sorry if I did a bad explanation, but it is my first time creating a task here.

Hello, Phabricator is not a place for requesting changes on-wiki. Please report this issue to the talk page for that template/module on that wiki, or notify to that discussion on Village pump or other appropriate place. Thanks.
