Closed, InvalidPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to Reproduce:
open an article which exists in many languages. click on the language button.

only 7 languages are displayed.

Expected Results:
200 languages, as the whole screen size should be used to display the languages. an example would be google translate which uses (nearly) the whole screen.

A full list of languages can be seen by clicking the "More" button at the bottom of the list. (Google Translate, which was given as an example in the task description, also shows its whole list only after clicking a button.)

Users who always want to see the complete list can select this in the preferences, in the Appearance tab: "Use a compact language list, with languages relevant to you".

The shorter list is better as a default. This was proven by qualitative design research and user testing and by the comprehensive data analysis that compares the usage with the long list and the compact list. The compact list shows the languages that are most relevant to each user, as explained on the page https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Universal_Language_Selector/Compact_Language_Links .
