Expose variable results in examine interface
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I'd like to request that the values of variables be exposed in the examine interface, to help better identify the source of false positives or problems.

For example, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter/examine/log/24539104 triggered filter 926 (private on enwiki). I read through the change 4 times before I was confident it was a false positive. If, when a filter is loaded and tested, the eventual values of variables were shown, it would help.

Can this be merged with T170504 somehow? As a parent and child task, or some other way?

Yes, as duplicate, AFAICT.
