Still not working...
I am not sure I remember what the reason is and whether it can be fixed before Wikimania ?
If it could be fixed, that would be great.
Technical details:
The main issue of language not changing has been resolved, but the final part that wasn't working correctly is T230422: Language dropdown and scripts not updating after language change
@Anthere This is now live, but note that there is another small bug that will be fixed shortly:
When you change language, the actual dropdown option does not appear to change (but the language of the interface should have!). Navigating to any other page or refreshing the page should update the drop down match the new selection.
@Anthere, as there were several issues at once effecting the dropdown, I'll resolve this task now (one section of the problem is fixed and live) - the final part of the problem is covered in T230422: Language dropdown and scripts not updating after language change which has just been fixed locally so will be deployed as soon as it's been reviewed
