Can't remove existing captions
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Leaving any characters at all in the caption will successfully save and update Commons.

However, when the caption text is removed completely, the save is ignored, but reports as "success!"

Note: subsequent save of the caption take the new version properly.
Example : https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Festival_du_Bout_du_Monde_2017_-_Sona_Jobarteh_-_025.jpg&action=history
Here, the removal of caption in between the two captions added was not recorded

Great thanks for checking @Anthere - the fix for deleting captions is now live so should all be working hopefully

Ah sorry @Anthere I missed this message! Can you make sure that you have done a hard refresh when you are on the participate page? This is defintiely working for me on live.

So navigate to any campaign's participate page and press Option + ⌘ + E to clear the page cache. Best to do it a few times to make sure.

After that is should work, but let me know if that still doesn't do it.
