Measure template adaptation issues
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Templates represent structured rich content such as infoboxes or references. Transferring them across languages is a complex process where Content translation has to find the equivalent template in the target wiki by following Wikidata information, find the equivalent parameter across languages using multiple strategies (mapping based on metadata, machine learning, user provided mapping) and copy the information over. We refer to this process as template adaptation.

The process can fail in different ways and uses different approaches to find the mappings. We want to measure how many templates and parameters are transferred successfully, which method were using, and how many fail. It would be useful to be able to inspect the data in a way that allows finding the templates that fail most often.
