I get an error "File does not exist" when clicking on thumbnails of existing files in a wikipedia article. This happens only to image files that have their names begin with Georgian characters. To see the bug please visit the article Роинашвили, Александр Соломонович, click on photos in galleries there, examine the source code. Thank you for your help.

URL goes to https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Роинашвили,_Александр_Соломонович#/media/Файл:Ალექსანდრე_როინაშვილი2.jpg
Note the Ა. I guess this is the same underlying problem as T230810: Links in hovercards don't work in the Georgian Wikipedia. Which itself is blocked on T230559: In the Georgian Wikipedia, adding links in VisualEditor is broken because of incorrect capitalization.
I can't reproduce this today. I think this was also fixed by rMW416895821fdb: Update phpCharToUpper.json based on current differences (September 2019), like many other issues with upper case letters in Georgian.
To clarify, the URL https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Роинашвили,_Александр_Соломонович#/media/Файл:Ალექსანდრე_როინაშვილი2.jpg still does not work – however, clicking on the infobox image in the article instead opens the URL https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Роинашвили,_Александр_Соломонович#/media/Файл:ალექსანდრე_როინაშვილი2.jpg, which shows the expected image. The difference is 'ა' instead of 'Ა'.
