It is sometimes the case that edits are imported for an account, and then that account is renamed on the source wiki, and then it is imported on the local wiki. In that case, there are currently no good ways to attribute the edits to the imported account: it can be temporarily renamed to the old name, or the edits can be reattributed directly in the database, but in both cases the reattributeImportedEdits.php maintenance script must be run. It would be better if this situation could be handled directly, whether by the current maintenance script, a new script, or some functionality of the extension itself.
