Reduce available colour palette for themes and ensure each colour has sufficient (and not excessive) contrast for all uses
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Too many colours. Several don't even work that well to begin with.

Will also be messier to reduce after people are using them if they actually do use removed ones.

Probably also need to just make each colour more than one colour:

  • A background/border colour version, which is relatively subdued
  • An icon/text colour version, which requires significantly higher contrast

Well, above patch kills most of the 'too much contrast' cases, but what in the world is with that 'pastel yellow'?

Palette reduced. Should no longer be a blocker as such, and this should require no further schema changed.

(Is that even the right word?)
