After small deployment (T232539) we expect more people to use the feature, and more people running into issues and having questions. How do these people know which issue should be reported where? Some error messages now contain a link to a project page (T228858), but most don't.
We expect the following types of feedback:
- I want to learn what the feature is, how it works, how to use it → help page
- I run into an issue with a specific file because of licensing and such, and want to understand what's going on → Commons community
- I run into a technical issue or do have a feature request → us
It is suggested to have some kind of info icon or text banner on top of the page. Something like "this is a new feature, please ask questions about individual files here and technical issues there". Advanced-Search had something similar for a brief period, see https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/410149. Their wording was How does the new interface work for you?
