The box for configuring the filters covers the list of results on Recent Changes or Watchlist. Despite the changes taking effect in real time, the user cannot see the effect that their changes are having: the list of results is covered by the panel.

the request is ti have the edit filter box to be a detachable panel, or a new window, or for there to be some other way that the user can actually see the result of what they are doing, without having to close and open the box repeatedly.
