Description

This is the second microtask for Outreachy applicants for T233469: QA: Automation Testing - creating tests for Special:Homepage (GrowthExperiments). The task should be done after the first one: T233674: Outreachy microtask: Automation testing framework setup (#1).

TODO

Review Growth Experiments-Newcomer Homepage documentation, and also Extension:GrowthExperiments to get understanding of Special:Homepage purpose and features.
Review how to write tests and Selenium/Node.js/Stack.
Review existing Selenium node.js tests for GrowthExperiments project.
Select a simple feature/functionality of Special:Homepage for an automation test.
Create and run the test.
Document your steps and challenges that you may encounter.

This task is open to all Outreachy candidates, so there is no need to be assigned to start. @Catechep - just start doing the task and make notes on your progress/challenges, so it'd be easier for you to submit the final report (if you would decide to apply to work for this project). There is the zulip channel for questions/discussions - Phab.20T233469 Automation Testing (I added it to the task description too).

Hi! As the Outreachy Round 19 has ended, could you consider marking this task as resolved? If not, could you share what else is remaining?
