Enable Matomo for wikimedia.se
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This task was previously general Matomo task and also included wikipedia.se. Enabling for that site has been moved to T239081.

Setup Matomo on wikimedia.se using the Wordpress plugin. This includes figuring out what things we want and are allowed to track. There are plenty of settings in Matomo for this, including GDPR specific options.

Event Timeline

We should definitly also re-add it to offentligkonst.se.

I would also suggest adding it to Umepedia and whatever other sites the chapter officially maintains so that we know the impact (or lack therof) of closing any of them down.

Like before we should map a subdomain to the server. We can either reuse piwik.wikimedia.se or get a new matomo one and deregister the other one

  • Added matomo.wikimedia.se as a subdomain in Loopia

  • If you can add an account for me (and if there is only one super-admin account allowed then please share those credentials)
  • @Lokal_Profil will take a first pass on GDPR settings
  • Could you schedule a meeting next week for us two and @Evelina-Bang-WMSE to look into more specific settings, using wikimedia.se as our test case.

Meeting booked, shout if the time doesn't work.

If we want to use Matomo for a wiki there is a MediaWiki extension for that.

The Wordpress plugin has been installed on wikimedia.se and tracking is enabled.
