@DNdubane_WMF , my apologies for missing this, really. Is the description still current, especially the deadline indications? (Our blog person is OoO this week.)

I have some followup questions after reading the description better.

Have you ever communicated with the community before about this project?
Is the message just about "this now exists", or are you looking for input from community members or are there any actions that you want them to start taking?

Re: the following:
Blog - can you provide an initial draft, maybe?
Social media - Our team doesn't actually handle any, let us know if you had something in mind in particular so that we can ask Comms about it
Email or MassMessage - Same as above, maybe you already have something that can be adapted?
Page on wiki/Presentation - not sure why these were marked, since you already have both?

Re: the distribution channels, I am guessing you'll want to use whatever lists are currently used to target affiliates and/or the ones on Meta to be used with MassMessage?

Hello Erica

Thank you for the response. Here are my comments & thoughts:

Have you ever communicated with the community before about this project?

Is the message just about "this now exists", or are you looking for input
from community members or are there any actions that you want them to start
taking?

We have only communicated this to Affcom members who helped us in piloting
some of the form and design work. So its more of "here is a new cool thing,
we want you to try it out and give us feedback" sort of message.

Blog - can you provide an initial draft, maybe?

Yes, I can do a draft to share by Monday.

Social media - Our team doesn't actually handle any, let us know if you
had something in mind in particular so that we can ask Comms about it

I suppose we can omit this then also Wikimedia space may be better any ways.

Email or MassMessage - Same as above, maybe you already have something
that can be adapted?

Think this may be covered by the distribution chennel comments below.

Page on wiki/Presentation - not sure why these were marked, since you

already have both?

Correct this can be ignored.

Re: the distribution channels, I am guessing you'll want to use whatever

lists are currently used to target affiliates and/or the ones on Meta to be
used with MassMessage?

Yes, I think the Affiliates mailing list can be used for this too.

Thank you so much for looking into this.

I really appreciate the prompt answers.
Based on my understanding, the only difference between this and the kind of communications that you handle on your own is really how to involve Space in all of this.
Hence, I'll mark this task accordingly.

@elappen-WMF , @CKoerner_WMF , not sure this showed up correctly for you, but I think it's a task for you.

Hi Erica

My apologies for the delay on my side, we have revised launch dates due to
production changes. The new dates are 24 January 2020.

Please advise if I need to do anything further on the phabricator ticket.

I do however have a new urgent request [1] for support posted on
phabricator, it is about publishing a blog post [2] about our Affiliates
data survey results, ahead of the second installment of the survey to be
launched on the first week of January.

Are you able to assist with this?

Thanks Dumi, Chris is now tagged on both tasks so he can prioritize accordingly. Have a nice week!

Hey @DNdubane_WMF I'd be happy to get the draft into Wikimedia Space and help publish it. However, I can't seem to be able to copy/paste from the doc. :)

When would you like to have this published by?

@CKoerner_WMF Please determine if work here is done. TY!

@DNdubane_WMF do you need more help from us on this deployment? We published the blog post but I can't remember if we discussed anything beyond that.

@DNdubane_WMF Is there further support that we can provide that you might need here? Do you need another blog published?

Hi Keegan

Yes we still need a blog post about this on Wikimedia Space. What we published previously was about the Affiliates Survey Results 2018. I have shared with you the commons statement that I sent out on Wikimedia-l last night, as well as the general problem statement slide deck.

Please let me know if you need more information.
