When we add a language variant (i.e. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Lexeme:L8820) we can say that this lexeme has a variant in some place (like happens in (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Lexeme:L1347). But as you can see in the example, the language is coded as a Q, instead of having plain text from the label displayed, that could be more easily understood by readers.
