Random good or featured articles

Description

Add an option to the random articles query API to receive good or featured articles, as identified by Template:Good_article (Q5303) and Template:Featured_article (Q5626124) Category:Good articles (Q8536695) and Category:Featured articles (Q4387444) respectively.

It is understood that the availability of this feature would depend on whether a wiki has those templates categories linked to wikidata and if they actually use them on articles.

This would be used by the KaiOS-Wikipedia-app (and possibly others) to surface articles that are probably worth reading, as opposed to stubs about remote villages.

If you use Category:Good articles (Q8536695) and Category:Featured articles (Q4387444) instead, this could be a duplicate of T63840: Add equivalent to Special:RandomInCategory to the API (either in the existing list=random or its own module).

Thanks for pointing that out. Using the categories and RandomInCategory seem equivalent for our purpose.

Assuming this task is about the KaiOS-Wikipedia-app project, hence adding that project tag so people who don't know or don't care about random WMF team tags can also find this task when searching for projects which they are interested in.

I'm going to close this since the /page/random API provides a good enough alternative for us.
