In order to prevent rsync from filling the root fs, add the bind mounts that would otherwise be handled by "nfs-manage-binds" to /etc/fstab.
The nfs-manage-binds script is really there to manage a complicated set of bind mounts that should not be mounted at boot, synced with DRBD. This cluster isn't doing most of that and doesn't benefit from it.

/srv/maps /exp/project/maps none defaults,bind 0 0 /srv/scratch /exp/scratch none defaults,bind 0 0
to fstab on cloudstore1008 and tested with mount -a. It seems happy.
We can always remove these entries if we move to a DRBD system, if that is sorted out on the primary cluster. Did the same for cloudstore1009
