Description

Followup of T235263: Make it possible to bypass automatic redirection to exact matches in commons:

Before T235263 typing w: into the commons search box led directly to wikipedia. Now type "w:" to Commons search box, it will go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=w%3A&title=Special%3ASearch&go=Go&ns0=1&ns6=1&ns12=1&ns14=1&ns100=1&ns106=1 with no link to Wikipedia.

Before T235263 typing "COM:VP" into the commons search box led directly to the commons village pump. Now it goes to https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=COM%3AVP&title=Special%3ASearch&go=Go&ns0=1&ns6=1&ns12=1&ns14=1&ns100=1&ns106=1

This ticket is to re-instate the old behaviour for search strings beginning with namespace or interwiki prefix

@Bugreporter you can change back to the old behaviour in your preferences tab

I don't think we will have many images with titles (or file names) including a namespace or interwiki prefix.

Ok. Are you suggesting that we keep the old behaviour for any search string beginning with a namespace or interwiki prefix?
