Description

@Lea_Lacroix_WMDE

Hello people! UX and I would like to change the link on the "Help", currently it links to Help:Sources which we don't think is relevant, we'd like to have it link to the same link as "give feedback". Is it possible to change that before deploying?

A/C
Help link in popper should target Help:Sources

@Lydia_Pintscher - Pinging you. I'm sure there was a reason we aimed at Help:Sources and not a new page; just want to check that reason (that I can't remember) isn't still important

The reason from our side is: Help:Sources is very broad (it's a general documentation page about references) and is not providing any information about tainted references (because the feature is not an official feature on Wikidata yet - later we should probably add something in the doc).
So people looking for help or info about the tainted reference notification will find no help on this page. That's why we want to link to Wikidata:Mismatched reference notification input where they will find a presentation of the feature.

My intention was to have Help:Sources adapted. We could then link to a section on that page for example. I don't think we should link to a separate page - especially one that we're also using for feedback on this specific feature. For the average user this is not a distinct feature but just a part of how referencing works now.

@Lydia_Pintscher, for sure we'll need to adapt Help:Sources and link to a specific section in that page, it makes complete sense and that's what we interpreted. But, as Lea mentions, we should create that specific section only once Tainted References becomes an official feature on Wikidata (once it's visible for a broader percentage of users, if not the 100%). For now though, since the Help page needs to remain generic, we thought that Wikidata:Mismatched would provide relevant information to the first users willing to find out more about TRR.

After a discussion with Lydia, we decided to drop the ticket :) We don't change the link.
