This task tracks the racking and setup of mc-gp100[123].eqiad.wmnet.
Racking Proposal: These need to be in 10G racks, 1 per row. Avoid sharing racks with existing mc10XX systems. So avoid racks: (5) A6, (4) B6, (5) C5, (4) D4. You likely want to place in A, C, and D, avoiding B (as it is filled with cloudvirts in 10G racks.)
Network: 10G, internal network
Partitioning: Match existing mc10XX partitioning.
mc-gp1001:
- - receive in system on procurement task T232387
- - rack system with proposed racking plan (see above) & update netbox (include all system info plus location, state of planned)
- - bios/drac/serial setup/testing
- - mgmt dns entries added for both asset tag and hostname
- - network port setup (description, enable, vlan)
- end on-site specific steps
- - production dns entries added
- - operations/puppet update (install_server at minimum, other files if possible)
- - OS installation
- - puppet accept/initial run (with role:spare)
- - host state in netbox set to staged
