Activate the MultiBoilerplate extension for sq.wikiquote
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Currently all articles at the Albanian Wikiquote follow one of 5 specific formats depending on the subject. Being able to choose and preload 1 of the specific text boilerplates would greatly speed up the creation process for new users and help the experienced editors with the standardization process.

Here is the voting process.

I see... I'll try to talk with the creator of the extension to see if he/she can help with this.

You will also need a sponsor at the Wikimedia Foundation to lobby for quite a lot of staff time (security review, performance review, design review, product review).

Is that how it works? I'm a bit unfamiliar with how these details function. At the past we've just seen an extension that we needed, asked for its activation and it has been activated. But apparently we've been lucky and they've all been pre-deployed on Wikimedia sites.

Is that how it works?

Again, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Writing_an_extension_for_deployment for the process. If anything on that page is unclear (or missing) then please feel free to bring up questions on its talk page, as that would help to improve that page and make it more understandable. :)

That is because the code of these extensions had been already deployed and available on Wikimedia servers before.

@Klein: Any news to share? (Asking as tasks shouldn't be stalled for too long.) Thanks! :)

Unfortunately, no. I talked with the maintainer of the extension and he wasn't able to help in making the extension part of the Wikimedia bundle so... What should I do to "delete" the task?

Deleting of tasks is impossible, so I'm closing this task as declined.
