@Gopavasanth writing unit tests for the tool seems too broad of a scope for a good first task. I can imagine a series of unit tests for various features as subtasks, and each of those could be a good-first-task. Also, some more instructions on how to get started with writing tests will be a helpful addition to the task descriptions :)

@Gopavasanth: Where to find relevant documentation? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:JavaScript_unit_testing ? Or http://mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:QUnit%20tests ? Or somewhere else?

Aah yeah currently, we are working to release VideCutTool version 0.3, I hope we will sooner release it, So there might be some/more changes in the codebase, so we shall change this task as stalled for now.
