Include "Search Wikipedia" in article menu
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Why are we doing this?
We need to have a way for users to be able to easily access Search when they are within an article

Proposed design
Use the design in T236266 for article menu

User flow
When a user selects "Search Wikipedia" in the article menu, they are taken to the "Basic search" screen where they can type in their search

Placement
This is the 1st item on the article menu

Is the search input populated with the last search terms (like the close button on article does) or is it empty?

To clarify, there are two ways redirect back to Search page within Article page

  1. Click Close softkey - will bring user back to the previous Search screen with the previous search input string
  2. Click Search Wikipedia from the menu item - will bring user back to Search screen without search input string

according to T236266 this menu item should be first, but if we have the previous article option, it goes to second, should we fix this @AMuigai?

To expand on the above: only when a user is reading an article and then clicks to a related second article from within the first article, the menu in that second article currently shows "Previous article" option first at the top, and the "Search Wikipedia" article second. Otherwise the "Search Wikipedia" option always shows on top.
