The two VPSs are currently on calibre 3.48.0, but the latest is 4.10.1; we should upgrade.
We're also currently using the Debian package, but the download docs say:
Please do not use your distribution provided calibre package, as those are often buggy/outdated. Instead use the Binary install described below.
So we should do that (and document the install and upgrade process).
Bugs such as T244825 appear to be fixed in the new version.
@Samwilson Only wikisource-dev01 was running calibre 3.48 from backports. I just upgraded wikisource-prod01 to the latest backport Calibre version.
It would indeed be great to use the master branch of Calibre.

Yeah, it's a shame that we have to install it manually, but it does seem that a bunch of bugs have been fixed in the newest version, and I don't know how long it takes to be packaged.
We just have to remember to upgrade it manually periodically I guess!
