Missing section in text editor on mobile
Closed, DuplicatePublic

In a mobile device, when I try to edit an article on Wikipedia by clicking on the Edit button on the top of the article, only one section is appearing. The rest of sections is hidden. See this screen-cast.

Using the last Firefox version with Android 9 on Galaxy A50.

This is intentional on mobile because of the complexity of manipulating large wikitext on such devices. The restriction is only for wikitext though, other content models behave as they do on the web. The full text can still be edited when one is using the desktop view

@ppelberg -- FYI here is an experience that @Dyolf77_WMF found confusing in mobile VE. Please feel free to close this task if the behavior is intentional with no intention to make changes.

@ppelberg same case for VE (please see this second video ) . As @MMiller_WMF said, when a newcomer is intending to edit the hole article, they click on the top Edit button, but got only the first section displayed. I understand the worry about handling long text on mobile devices but the place of the Edit button is a bit confusing and not really intuitive.

Also, a very huge number of contributors in ar wiki are using mobile to read/edit Wikipedia.
