Audit msw1-eqiad cables
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

During today's mgmt outage I notice that some switch ports on msw1-eqiad were mislabeled.

The one labelled msw-d3 is actually connected to msw-d6, which delayed the troubleshooting.

Please check all the ports and re-label or move the cables. Maybe put them in Netbox as well?

Event Timeline

ayounsi created this task.

Please note this appears to also be an ideal time to do T225121 perhaps? Rather than updating netbox for the old msw?

The cables to those devices are also missing their cable IDs

Verified ports for each switch, all but 2 are in port 50 on the mgmt switches

A1 is port 1
C6 is port 47

I imported all msw1-eqiad cables into Netbox as I need them for automation. Audit still needs to happen.

Audit is complete, labels were updated in netbox
