HI! I'm forwarding a request that Wikimedia Germany received via email

I can't share an article directly from the Wikipedia with my Whatsapp contacts. This process was possible until recently and I found it very useful.
When I use this share button now, I receive a cryptic message (translated from German to English): "You can share elements with people after they have contacted you in communication apps".
Sharing via other apps like Facebook or Gmail is still possible without any problems.

Is this being worked on?

Agreed. I don't have this information unfortunately, but I've already asked for this via email.

Since we're unable to reproduce this, I'll close the ticket. Please reopen if more information is available.
