Fri 01 Feb 2019 08:26:08 Unable to access Front LED Panel because of a hardware error condition
Since some of the troubleshooting steps require on-site confirmation of the results, the entire thing can more easily be run by on-sites.
- - check the front LCD of cp1088, see if it is responsive. Check if it shows the service tag, and lets you use the arrow keys to navigate the menus. If this works, the error is no longer an issue, and the SEL can be cleared.
- - If LCD isn't working, run the racadm racreset on the mgmt interface of cp1088. This will NOT reset the power of the server or take it offline. Check LCD post reset and see if operational.
- - If still not operational, the system may need to be put into downtime for power removal. If so, please either work with @RobH or someone in Traffic to ensure the power removal and return to service is acceptable.
- - once all errors are cleared out, clear the SEL on mgmt interface.
