A Chrome extension called "Docs Online Viewer" apparently adds a custom viewer-link behind every document link even in edit mode, which is then interpreted by VE as new content to be saved with the article:

While I understand that this is nothing which can easily be fixed on our side, it would be nice if VE could at least somehow warn the user when the changes include the text "chrome-extension://", since I assume similar problems could arise with other extensions as well in future.
