Ability to filter by label language in Wikidata RC in other projects
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

The current implementation of the Wikidata recent changes in other projects shows all the edits to the labels. While this is useful for regular Wikidata patrollers, it clutters the feed of people only interested in vandalism of their home wiki. This is a feature request for implementing filtering based on language. There are 2 possible version of this feature:

  1. A simple checkbox for filtering on the current wiki languages
  2. A more complex choice allowing users to select any number of languages from those available on wikidata.

@Strainu could you give a specific example?

The way it is intended to work is that only changes to labels are inserted into the recent changes if they are in fact used somewhere in the wiki. Though that might for example include an English label of an Item on Romanian Wikipedia, if that Item does not yet have a Romanian label and the English label is edited. However, if only the German label is edited and that is not used on Romanian Wikipedia, then that change is not supposed to appear in the recent changes.
